1. Who we are
House of Kaos Ltd (company number 16556191), registered in England and Wales, is the "data controller" responsible for your personal data under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

2. What data we collect
We collect personal data in two main ways:

3. Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies. We don't run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and no cookie is set when you browse the site or fill in the enquiry form.
If you book a ticket through Eventbrite or follow a link to another site (such as Eventbrite or our social media pages), that site may set its own cookies once you're on it — that's governed by their own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.
4. How we use your data
We use the information you give us to:
- respond to your enquiry or booking request;
- manage your attendance at an event you've booked onto;
- send you practical information about an event you've booked (e.g. venue details, timing changes, cancellations);
- keep records for our own accounting and legal obligations.
We don't send marketing emails unless you've clearly opted in to hear from us, and we don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
5. Our legal basis for using your data
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract — to fulfil a ticket booking or respond to a booking-related enquiry;
- Legitimate interests — to respond to general enquiries and run our business effectively, in a way that doesn't override your own rights and interests;
- Consent — where you've opted in to marketing communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
6. Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this website and our events:
- FormSubmit — processes and forwards messages submitted through our website enquiry form to our inbox;
- Eventbrite — handles ticket sales, payment and attendee registration for our events, as a separate data controller under its own privacy policy;
- GitHub Pages — hosts this website.
We don't share your data with any other third party except where we're required to by law.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking-related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with your enquiry or event, and afterwards only as long as needed for our accounting, tax and legal obligations, after which it's deleted.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask us what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your data;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we're relying on consent (e.g. marketing);
- complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

9. Keeping your data safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data we hold, and only the House of Kaos team has access to enquiry correspondence. No online service is ever 100% secure, but we don't store payment details ourselves, and enquiry data is limited to what you choose to tell us.

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies, so please check back occasionally.
