1. Who we are

House of Kaos Ltd ("House of Kaos", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16556191. We create and stage immersive gothic dinners, balls and events, primarily in Newcastle upon Tyne.

2. Using this website

This website and its content — including text, graphics, logos and imagery — belong to House of Kaos or our licensors, unless stated otherwise. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, reproduce or republish any part of the site for any other purpose without our written permission.

We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we don't guarantee it's free of errors, and we may change or remove content at any time without notice.

3. Tickets and bookings

We sell tickets to House of Kaos events in two ways, and which one applies to your booking depends on where you bought your ticket:

• Booked directly with House of Kaos (e.g. by bank transfer, in person, or another route arranged directly with us) — your booking is governed entirely by these terms, including the cancellation and refund terms in section 5 below.
• Booked through Eventbrite — Eventbrite is acting as our ticketing platform, and Eventbrite's own terms, checkout process and refund procedures apply to that booking. Any request to cancel, transfer or get a refund on an Eventbrite booking must be made through Eventbrite, not directly with us.

Please check the details of the event — date, time, venue, theme and price — carefully before completing your booking, whichever route you use.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken in full at the time of booking. We reserve the right to change prices for future events at any time, but this won't affect tickets you've already booked.

5. Cancellations, refunds and transfers

This section applies only to tickets booked directly with House of Kaos. If you booked through Eventbrite, please refer to Eventbrite's own cancellation and refund policy and manage your booking through them.

For direct bookings: tickets are non-refundable, but you're welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else if you can no longer attend — just let us know at hello@houseofkaos.co.uk in advance with the new attendee's details.

If House of Kaos needs to cancel or reschedule an event, we'll contact all ticket holders — however they booked — as soon as possible. For direct bookings, we'll offer a full refund or a transfer to the rescheduled date; Eventbrite bookings will be handled per Eventbrite's own process for cancelled or rescheduled events.

We're not responsible for any other costs you may incur in connection with an event (such as travel or accommodation) if an event is cancelled or rescheduled.

6. Attending an event

House of Kaos events are strictly 21+. We may ask you to show valid photo ID confirming your age on arrival, and we reserve the right to refuse entry if you can't provide it. No refund will be given where entry is refused for this reason.

Costume is required at themed events as stated on the event listing; we reserve the right, acting reasonably, to refuse entry to anyone whose costume doesn't meet the stated theme, or whose behaviour we consider disruptive or unsafe.

You must follow the venue's own house rules and any reasonable instructions from House of Kaos staff or venue staff on the night. We reserve the right to remove any guest from an event, without refund, if their conduct puts other guests, performers or staff at risk, or is otherwise seriously inappropriate.

Photography and filming may take place at our events for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to appearing in general event photography and footage, unless you let us know in advance that you'd prefer not to be included.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited or excluded under English law.

Subject to that, House of Kaos isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your attendance at, or inability to attend, an event, and our liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the price you paid for your ticket.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The version published on this page is the one that applies, so please check back occasionally.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of England and Wales.
