The Evening
The Vampire Ball was House of Kaos's first grand ball, and it set the tone for every evening that has followed since. Guests arrived in their finest crimson and black, stepping into a room dressed for the occasion — candlelight, deep red drapery and the low hum of a night that felt, for a few hours, entirely apart from the ordinary world.
The evening moved from arrival and mingling into candlelit waltzes on the dance floor, with the House's own theatrical touches woven through the night — performers in character among the guests, ensuring no one stayed simply a spectator for long.

The Look
Vampiric elegance was the brief, and guests answered in full: Victorian and Edwardian silhouettes, velvet and lace, statement collars and a great deal of tastefully applied blood-red. It set the template for the House style that now runs through every event — gothic, romantic and always with an eye for detail.

Why It Mattered
As the first of the House's grand balls, the Vampire Ball marked the beginning of what House of Kaos has become — proof that Newcastle had an appetite for an evening built entirely around atmosphere, costume and theatre. Every ball and dinner since has carried a little of that first night with it.
