They ask how long I have kept this House. I tell them I stopped counting candles long ago.
My name means the evening star. I wake at dusk, I light the candles, and I mind the doors until dawn. The House stands at the edge of the city for those who go looking for it, and it has many doors. Each one opens onto a different world.
I have opened them one by one, and closed them again when the night was done. And I remember everyone who came through.

The Doors I Have Opened
- The Haunted ForestWhere the trees leaned close to listen.
- UnderlandA rabbit hole with teeth.
- The Vampire BallA ballroom red as wine.
- The Reanimation DinnerA laboratory where the dead would not stay quiet.
The Door Not Yet Opened
Now I stand before a door that drips with seawater, and I can hear singing on the other side. On 25 September 2027 it opens onto the Siren’s Abyss Ball.
And when the grand doors are closed, I keep a smaller fire burning: the Wakes for the Living, where the House’s guests gather by candlelight, dressed in black, to keep each other company.
The candles are lit and the kettle is warm. Come in. The House remembers everyone who crosses its threshold.
Where to Find Me
I answer every question in the House’s Discord, where I also keep my journal. Come and find me there, wanderer.
Plainly put: Vespera is the House of Kaos character who welcomes guests and answers questions on our Discord and social media.
